From our District Superintendent

Dear colleagues and Friends:

I hope that your Christmas was filled with joy and that your New Year is beginning with hope. I want to say a word of appreciation for your gifts during the Christmas season. WE will be wiring $600.00 to the Pijal Project in Ecuador due to your generosity. They will be able to do so much with these additional resources.

I sincerely thank each one of you for all that you are doing to advance the Reign of God. Your ministry is significant and the ministry of every congregation really matters.

I also want to remind you that apportionments for 2012 are due tomorrow at noon. Please make every effort to submit your apportionments by that time. Currently, we have 47 congregations in our District who have paid 100%. 10 of those congregations did not pay 100% last year and 2 missed by a hair (an error, I think)!

This is meant to be a word of encouragement. We all know that ministry requires money both locally and globally, but that money is not at the center of our ministry. At the Center of all that we do is Jesus Christ. Let us labor together as His ambassadors in the world.
